Pregnancy Journal Update - 18 Weeks

We are almost half way! This week has been fun and easy. The second trimester bliss is real. I have a big enough belly to enjoy it, but a small enough belly that I can still physically function! It seems like I’ll have times where it feels like my body is just really full/doesn’t have enough room, then a few days later I’ll notice I’ve gotten bigger. That happened again this week. I’m sure eventually I won’t have the relief of not feeling full/huge all the time, so I’m enjoying it for now! I went to a baby shower for a church friend this week. This got me excited for our baby showers and sent me on a several hour long Pinterest baby registry research trip. In the amended words of an old church song, “I’m inside, outside, upside, downside [HUNGRY] all the time.” Literally – all.the.time. I’m trying to eat somewhat healthy {aka not fast food for every meal}, but sometimes this baby is just starving!  Daddy put together the baby stroller this week.  The furbabies are very curious and a bit suspicious of this whole baby gear thing.

SYMPTOMS: Nausea, fatigue {although tons more energy than 1st trimester, I just get worn out more quickly than pre-pregnancy}, hunger, hunger, HUNGER.
BABY IS THE SIZE OF A dollar bill {head to rump, so 9-10”ish with legs!}.

{FOR MOMMY} I am….
LOVING being pregnant! Second trimester is a breeze {KNOCK ON WOOD}.
CRAVING ice cream sandwiches, cheddar & sour cream chips.
EATING meat again like a normal person {well, not tons but at least I can stomach a burger for now!}.
DREAMING like crazy. I usually don’t remember the dreams. Last night I dreamt I was on some international trip and ready to fly back to the states {me back to Indiana and a girlfriend back to NYC}, then she bought me a surprise ticket to go to New York… but I was really just concerned about missing work because it was payroll week so the guys wouldn’t get paid if I missed work! Then I called the friend one name and thought of her as that person and halfway through the dream she was a different friend… and it didn’t seem odd to me in the dream that the friend just changed halfway through the dream! On the way to NYC, our plane took a detour and we ended up in the woods somewhere because the pilot got lost. Y’all, it is a good thing I don’t remember my dreams often!

Thanks for following along on our pregnancy journey! 18 weeks down, 21 weeks to go {give or take a few weeks}.  We would love to have your prayers over the health and development of our little peanut! Check out all of our pregnancy updates and follow Borrowed Blessings at the top of the page.
