Cave Quest VBS Prep: Crew Bags

Cave Crew Bags - BorrowedBlessings.net

In the past, each crew guide has carried a clipboard with VBS information.  This year, we decided to make crew bags since there are several things for the crew guides to keep track of.  They often end up holding craft/bible story items and prizes, so a bag comes in handy!  We want to use these every year, so we just going to put crew numbers on the bags… nothing specific to this year.  You can print or save a PDF of the crew bag instructions formatted for printing.

SUPPLIES:
Plain fabric reusable bags {ours are canvas material}
Large permanent markers {my personal preference}
Fabric paint
Fabric markers
Clipboard
Neon cardstock paper for attendance sheets
Pens
Fine tip permanent markers
Ziploc bags
Clapper
Disposable gloves
Bandaids
Hand sanitizer

INSTRUCTIONS:
-Gather enough bags for each crew to have one.
-OPTIONAL: If the bag fabric is thin, put a piece of cardboard or paper in the bag to protect the paint pens from bleeding through.
-Use fabric paint, fabric markers or permanent markers to write on each bag. {I actually tried a few different things and ended up using smelly markers. They are fatter than normal markers and wrote very well on the canvas fabric.}
-Fill bags with necessary items for the week.
