DIY Sliding Barn Door Makeover for Under $100!

DIY Sliding Barn Door Makeover for Under $100!

Hey y'all!  When we decided to renovate our home, we wanted to give it little touches that make it more "us".  One of the style decisions we made to make the house a home was the addition of a sliding barn door on the laundry room.  The laundry room is located directly off the dining room, so it's a high traffic area.  When we purchased the house, there was a doorway between the two rooms but no door, so the laundry room was always open.  The door will probably stay open most of…Read more …

Cave Quest VBS: Decorating Spaces – Sing & Play Rock (Sanctuary)

Our church used Group Publishing's "Cave Quest" VBS curriculum this summer.  Sing & Play Rock (opening and closing each evening) was located in our sanctuary.  I've linked below some of the photos to specific projects.  Feel free to holler if you have any more questions! Sorry for the poor quality of these pictures - a lot of them are from my cell phone {I'm not sure why my sleep-deprived VBS directing self wasn't more concerned with taking good pictures! hahaha}. I've added links for each of the items that have step-by-step tutorials, as…Read more …

Cave Quest VBS Decorating: Sing & Play Rock Tunnel Entrance

We decided to liven up the transition from the entry/registration area (foyer) to the Sing & Play Rock (sanctuary) by making a tunnel entrance.  This was actually a fairly quick and easy way to make a large visual impact! Pregnancy Journal Update: 21 Weeks

Date: 7/19/16 *2nd trimester* 21 weeks I know I’ve said it before, but the weeks really are just flying right by! I am feeling great {a few aches and pains, but overall I really love being pregnant}. At my last OB visit, the doctor advised we celebrate at 24 weeks because the baby reaches viability that week {when chances of survival outside the womb are greater than 50%}. I’m looking forward to that day, but feeling thankful for every day. I do a double take often when I walk by the mirror –…Read more …

Cave Quest VBS: Decorating Spaces – Foyer Entrance

Our church used Group Publishing's "Cave Quest" VBS curriculum this summer.  I've shared many of our projects, but you may be missing out on a big picture idea of how our spaces looked.  When kids entered the church through the main entrance, they came into the foyer.  The foyer was decorated like the inside of a cave with brown paper walls from floor to ceiling. Sorry for the poor quality of these pictures - a lot of them are from my cell phone {I'm not sure why my sleep-deprived VBS directing self wasn't…Read more …
