Pregnancy Journal Update: 21 Weeks

Pregnancy Journal Update: 21 Weeks
Date: 7/19/16
*2nd trimester*
21 weeks

I know I’ve said it before, but the weeks really are just flying right by! I am feeling great {a few aches and pains, but overall I really love being pregnant}. At my last OB visit, the doctor advised we celebrate at 24 weeks because the baby reaches viability that week {when chances of survival outside the womb are greater than 50%}. I’m looking forward to that day, but feeling thankful for every day. I do a double take often when I walk by the mirror – it’s crazy to see how rapidly my body is changing because I don’t feel that different!

Yes, I am wearing my husband’s tshirt. It’s officially the most comfortable article of clothing ever.

It’s been an insane few weeks in the world… from terrorist attacks in France to multiple attacks and murders of police officers around our country. It can be daunting to think about the scary world we are bringing a child into – but for every negative, oh-so-dark tragedy, there are bright spots of hope and love reflected around the world. I certainly would not choose for our world to be so cruel, but I pray that we can raise our child to be a source of light in the darkness.

SYMPTOMS: My back has started getting sore pretty often. Stretching seems to help though. Dry skin, hunger, hunger, hunger.
MILESTONES: I had my first stranger say something about me being pregnant!  The Fed Ex delivery man {who I’ve never met before} offered to carry the package into the house for me since I’m pregnant – how sweet!
BABY IS THE SIZE OF A large banana {about 7”}.

{FOR MOMMY} I am….
LOVING this baby a little more every day!
CRAVING food. All the time.
EATING a lot of Burger King meals {yum!} and popsicles.
SAVORING the moments when I can still shield baby somewhat from the craziness of the outside world.

Thanks for following along on our pregnancy journey! 21 weeks down, 18 weeks to go {give or take a few weeks}.  We would love to have your prayers over the health and development of our little peanut! Check out all of our pregnancy updates and follow Borrowed Blessings at the top of the page.
