Decorating: Foyer (Registration & Photo Booth) – Maker Fun Factory
Our foyer is just inside the main entrance, so we have registration there every year. We also had a photo booth, tshirt factory and sound station in the foyer decorations this year!

For about a month before VBS set-up, we have one wall in the foyer that’s dedicated to VBS. This year we actually used the normal advertising wall plus a second wall for the robot building competition.
Our pre-VBS foyer decorations for Maker Fun Factory included:
-Cutout gears {made with scrapbooking paper and a die}
-Volunteer sign up forms
-Robot competition
-Building toys
I’ve linked to tutorials above for the foyer decorations projects that have them.
About a week before VBS, we took down the pre-VBS decorations and started putting up the real deal! We started by hanging tarps on all 4 main walls in the foyer. There were then 5 areas in the foyer: the registration table {in the center of the room}, plus the 4 walls {sound station, name tags/lanyards, tshirt factory and photo booth}.
Our foyer decorations for Maker Fun Factory included:
FOYER
–Masking tape arrows and paths on the floor {like a factory}
-Robots from robot building competition
–Blue tarps {one with masking tape grid lines}
-Posters {the bulletin board set we used is out of stock, but they do have this similar option!}
REGISTRATION
-Record keeping binder {where our secretary totals the daily attendance, offering, etc.; also where registration forms are stored}
–Blank name tags for walk-in registrations
NAME TAGS/LANYARDS STATION
–Name tags for pre-registered students & volunteers
TSHIRT FACTORY
-Conveyor display
–Caution tape to prevent kids from entering area
SOUND STATION
-Interactive sound station displays
-SOUND decoupage sign
PHOTO BOOTH
-Cutout gears {cut using our county library’s die cut machine; we had to supply the die and the paper}
-Posters {the bulletin board set we used is out of stock, but they do have this similar option!}
