Roar VBS: Bible Buddies (Key Tags)

Lions and zebras and elephants, oh my… Roar VBS is quickly approaching!  This year’s safari-themed VBS is sure to be an adventure your kiddos will cherish for years to come!

A few weeks ago I shared our Roar VBS bible buddies (formatted as business cards). I also designed a set of bible buddies that are formatted as key tags. Here are the 2019 Roar VBS Key Tag Bible Buddies (including free templates)!

Supplies
Bible Buddies (printed as key tags) – free templates below
Carabiners (1 per child)
1″ spring clips (1 per child)

Instructions

  1. Order Bible Buddies.  You can download the Bible Buddies below.  To save these images, just click on each one.  The Bible Buddy will open in a new window, then you can right click and choose “Save image as…”.  You can then order key tags (1″ x 2″) with the design you prefer.  You can choose 1-sided key tags with just the bible point and bible verse, or you can print 2-sided key tags with the bible buddy animal on the back.
  2. Hand out Bible Verse Buddies.  Each day at VBS, give kids the key verse of the day.  The first day of VBS, give them a carabiner to hold the Bible Verse Buddies and a metal spring clip to attach the bible buddies to their carabiner.  You can also save all of the bible buddies to give out on night 5 if you’d rather.

I love designing VBS goodies, and get even more excited when we can print these materials on a penny-pinching budget!  If you would like me to personalize these or other VBS materials for you, please email me.  I am happy to help and any proceeds will keep BorrowedBlessings running!  If you’re going to share the name tag templates online, please link to this blog post.

I’m confused how to order the key tags. I download the picture, which I did. What then? Do you prepare the key tags? How do the holes get in them so they can go onto the carabiner?

      Terri,

There are several companies that print these key tags. If you google custom key tags, you should get lots of results. The printing company will print them with the hole already punched if you order them that way. 🙂
