Roar VBS: Bookmarks
Lions and zebras and elephants, oh my… Roar VBS is quickly approaching! This year’s safari-themed VBS is sure to be an adventure your kiddos will cherish for years to come!
We try to advertise VBS in a different way each year. Last year, we made business card magnets. This year, we’re making bookmarks to pass out to the kids and advertise VBS! These bookmarks are super fun and frugal to make!

Supplies:
–Kraft cardstock paper
-Bookmark templates (at the end of this post)
–Paper cutter
–Laminating machine
–Laminating sleeves
–Hole punch
–Ribbon
Instructions:
- Print bookmark templates on kraft cardstock paper. The templates I created have 4 bookmarks per page (they can be single or double sided).
- Use a paper cutter to cut the bookmarks.
- Laminate the bookmarks using a laminating machine and laminating sleeves.
- Use the paper cutter to cut apart the bookmarks & trim excess laminating material.
- Punch a hole in the top of each bookmark, then tie a ribbon through the hole. (If you’re ordering ribbon online, make sure you order 1/8″ or 1/4″ wide ribbon so it’ll fit easily in the hole. I used 1/8″ ribbon in my sample and I think it worked really well.)
Templates:
The templates below are all PDFs. Save them to your computer, then print at actual size (some printers will have this setting called “print at 100%”).

Below are the same templates but saved as graphic (PNG) files. If you don’t have a PDF editor and want to add your own text to the bookmarks, use the PNG files below then add text with a program like PicMonkey or Canva.

Did you use Microsoft Word and if so, what font did you use?
No, I didn’t use Microsoft Word to create this (I used a graphic design program). The font that I used for our church VBS info is called Glacial Indifference.
