Supplies:
–Disposable tablecovers
–Light duty staple gun
–Bulletin board set
-Optional: bible verses printed on bright paper
Instructions:
- Can I let you in on a little secret here? Okay, good… the last several years I’ve decorated our music station using JUST bulletin board decor. I usually spend a maximum of an hour putting it all up AND I do it weeks before VBS!
- Our music station is in our kids area (where the large group lessons typically take place). We have two large double-sided bulletin boards that always sit on either side of the projector screen.
- Since these bulletin boards are double-sided, I decorate them weeks before VBS! The front sides are always decorated for the month’s lesson theme and I decorate the backs for VBS (our bulletin boards are identical on both sides).
- I cover the bulletin boards with disposable tablecovers (dark colors this time to hide the tablecovers below the blue), then hang pieces from the Oriental Trading bulletin board set. I also typically hang our VBS schedule on one of the bulletin boards. If I need space fillers, I print our bible verses on brightly colored paper and add them to the decor.
- Once it’s VBS week, we just turn the bulletin boards around and the station is ready to go! There is currently a decorative sheet of plastic just below the projector screen, so I’m planning to cover it with animal print wrapping paper or remove it for the week. This is definitely my fastest, easiest area to decorate.
