Treasured VBS: Decorating Ideas

We’re still several months away from Treasured VBS, but I like to save Group’s decorating photos early. This really helps when brainstorming and treasure hunting (pun intended) for decorations and supplies. Check out the decorating preview photos and ideas below…

I’ve added notes below with the decor items you can start looking for now. Add a comment if you see more items we should watch for on sale! Here are some of the items that are used several items throughout the decorating preview photos:
Brown kraft paper roll
Gray/brown spray paint
Blue cellophane
Stone print plastic backdrop
-Large sheets of foam
-Artificial trees
-Cardboard boxes

Oriental Trading has also started releasing their treasure hunt themed supplies – find those here (and check back closer to VBS – Oriental Trading usually adds more VBS supplies throughout the spring).

Main set (see close up below)

Main set close up: rope, wood bridge, brown kraft paper roll, large bible buddies, blue cellophane river, artificial trees, brown & gray paint, fabric backdrop

Alternative plastic backdrops: jungle backdrop, jungle bridge backdrop

Bible room: stone backdrop, artificial trees, painter’s drop cloth on the floor

Desk and shelf: wood print backdrop on the walls, darker wood print backdrop on the desk & shelf

Alternative: use real wood crates to make a quick, easy similar shelf

Desk and shelf close up: books, small wooden crates, office supplies

KidVid room: brown kraft paper, waterfall fabric, artificial trees

Alternate: make your own DIY waterfall or use a plastic tablecloth for a quick waterfall!
