Roar VBS: Paper Hut Roof
Check out this simple paper hut roof! It can be used throughout Roar VBS to create an easy DIY hut, over doorways and more.

Supplies:
–Large roll of brown kraft paper
–Scissors
Instructions:
-Cut several long strips of kraft paper (mine were probably about 10-15 feet long)
-Stack the strips of kraft paper on top of each other
–Cut the entire stack in half long ways (you’ll end up with twice as many strips now)
-Put all the strips in one stack. Cut 1-4 inch wide strips all the way down the paper (leave 4-6 inches uncut at the top so the hut roof doesn’t fall apart). I started cutting pretty skinny strips (see photo above), but by the end they were much wider. They all looked fine when hanging!
-Hang strips around your Roar VBS space to create a hut roof here, there and everywhere! Layer several strips to create a fuller appearance. In the photo above, the strips are shown attached to our snack tables (that’s a screenshot from our decorating walk-through video).
