Roar VBS: Advertising Giveaways for Easter

As a parent, so much STUFF just accumulates in our house! My daughter is always coming home with something new. I try to be very mindful of avoiding junk that’s going to end up in the trash when planning VBS advertising & giveaway items. The ideas below are all ones that can be consumed or used over and over… and will get your community kids excited for safari VBS!
Supplies:
–VBS advertising bookmarks
–Ribbon (preferably a different color than you used at the top of the advertising bookmark) or animal print tape
-Small giveaway items (see idea list below)
Instructions:
Earlier this week, I shared our free advertising bookmark templates! You can make these bookmarks, then use a second ribbon to tie a giveaway item onto the bookmark (some items may work better if they are taped to the bookmark, rather than being tied on with ribbon). Thus, each child will to take home get a bookmark (which has both a scripture and your VBS details) as well as a small giveaway item. Below are budget-friendly ideas for items you could attach to the bookmark as your giveaway item. All items below are under $1 per child including the cost of making the bookmark.
- Small plastic animals
- Kid’s sunglasses
- Stampers
- Bubbles
- Animal print pencils (another option here)
- Pencil top erasers (attached to a plain or animal print pencil)
