Supplies:

Prep Instructions:

Write ONE WORD of the bible verse on each rock.  We want two sets of the bible verse rocks, so you’ll actually write each word on two rocks.  Write one set of words in each color (so you should end up with one entire bible verse written in white ink, and a second set of bible verse rocks written in orange ink).

At VBS:

Review the bible verse.  Say it with the kids or find it in the bible and read it together.

Divide the group into two teams (each crew is one team).  Explain that each team must find enough hidden rocks in the room to make the entire bible verse and put it in order to win.  BUT they can only find words written with their color (tell each crew which color they’re supposed to find).  If you have time to play again, you could play boys against girls or kids vs adults.  Send everyone outside the room while you quickly re-hide the rocks.

Before they leave, let the kids re-hide the rocks for the next rotation.
