DIY Organizing Labels
We moved into our newly renovated house about a month ago. Between getting settled in and being 6+ months pregnant, I have been nesting in high gear… hence how I decided to label all.the.things.
It all started when I got some organizing labels on Amazon… I labeled a few things {like our dog food container} with these labels and a silver sharpie. The labels were cute, but I knew I could take it up a notch. I used my Cameo to cut white vinyl wording, then layered it on top of the Chart & Soul labels. What resulted was a set of ADORABLE dry food container labels!
Once I labeled the dry food container, I added labels to several other containers and shelves in the pantry! The storage at our new house is FANTASTIC {we didn’t have a pantry at our old house, let alone two large pantries}.
In our master closets, I used some small black chalkboard labels layered with white vinyl and some black vinyl directly on the containers. I’ve found the white vinyl on black labels are my favorite because I can remove and re-stick them to different containers if… okay, not if… when I decide to re-arrange things {which I have already done}. My hubby was thrilled that I labeled his side of the closet along with mine!
Lastly, I added labels to the dog’s goodies and the dishwasher. I got a small magnet that can be on the dirty or clean side of the dishwasher so we don’t accidentally mix up the two. This is one of the most functional labels I made {and adorable too!}.
Supplies I used to label all the things:
–Chart & Soul organizing labels
–Silver Sharpie
–Silhouette Cameo 2 {the Cameo 3 is also available now!}
–Small black chalkboard labels
–Black & White Oracal vinyl
–Painter’s tape {used as transfer tape to apply the vinyl}
Full disclosure: Chart & Soul was kind enough to provide me with the organizing labels free of charge. They are one of the best Amazon sellers I’ve had the opportunity to work with!
