Practical, Meaningful Easter Gift Ideas

I love giving gifts, but I hate buying “stuff” just because there’s a holiday and I want to give a gift. Check out these practical, meaningful Easter gift ideas that your kids will use and enjoy! Most of the ideas below can be used for all ages. I also added a section for babies because they may not be ready for the other ideas.

For extra practicality and fun… Get creative with your “basket” – try using rain boots, an open umbrella or even an inflated pool float to hold treats!

Easter Egg Fillers
My kids have food allergies, so there are some types of candy they can eat but we try to use non-candy fillers, such as…
Puff corn, Cheerios or other snacks
Stickers (Foam stickers are great for eggs because they’re individually cut!)
Jewelry
Bandaids (because when do young kids NOT need a bandaid?!)

What do you do with Easter eggs once the kids have emptied them?
Make one of your kids gifts a sensory box! Here’s my intro post on sensory boxes. You’ll need…
Empty tote box (I like using the sweater size – approx 16 qt boxes)
Dyed pasta, rice or chickpeas (see tutorial here on how to dye it)
Easter eggs
Shovel, scoop, etc (clean out your beach toys or play kitchen for tools!)

Follow Borrowed Blessings for more faith-based kids ideas!
